“They seek him here, they seek him there, they seek that rascal Sidewalker everywhere…”
Where have I been? There have been a number of hypotheses circulating the internet. Rumors abound! I had died of food poisoning after eating my Nachos a la Sidewalker watching the Superbowl. I had unwittingly bent down to pick up a dull penny in the path of an oncoming bus and met my untimely demise. A major news outlet had discovered my true identity and I was forced to enter the ultra secretive Sidewalker Protection Program (SPP).
As amusing as the rumors are, none of them are true. I’ve been lazy with my sidewalking, and the coin finds have not been coming as often as before. I got tied up being a Dad to Sidewalker Jr. and Little Miss Sidewalker, and a husband to Mrs. Sidewalker, as well as nursing Castle Sidewalker through the dark days of Winter. All of which create their own (very welcome) set of challenges. My ‘hibernation’ has not been without coin finds, the fund now stands at $27.18.
So what did I miss while I’ve been gone? Well looking at the stock market about 15% of upside. Not sure our local economy warrants that exuberance, is it any better in your local area? I want to thank those of you, that through the many social networking avenues we have at our disposal today, have tried to prod and cajole this sleeping Sidewalker back to consciousness (no need to name names, you know who you are). Your jibes and encouragement have added warmth to what has been a brutal winter. I’d like to sit here and use a cliche or two about my batteries being recharged, and that I’m back and will be better than ever, but to be brutally honest with you my dear reader, I can only attest to the fact that I’m back; for now anyway…
Oh, and of course Happy Easter to everyone.

So glad you survived the winter that seemed to go on forever. Sounds though as if your winter was quite enjoyable with your Castle and family.
The economy is definitely not robust here. Prices keep rising but no jobs for sure.
Happy Easter!!!
Well, well and welcome back to the lands of the living… and awake.
Good to know that I can now return to visiting both blogs that I follow on a daily basis.
The other is completely unrelated to Sidewalking of course and basically extols about places where you are highly unlikely to find any loose change:

Cheers, good to see you don’t have broken fingers.
Had I known you were hibernating I’d have poked you with a stick long ago. All the porridge is cold now.
The economy must still be terrible. Walmart doesn’t seem to be selling as many brand name foods now (using their own low QC product line). And they’re using temps in place of hiring full time employees even in their corporate office so as not to have to shell out for benefits. As goes Walmart so goes….nevermind. That’s too ugly to even think it.
Sit at the keyboard and bang on the letters until something spills out that makes a little sense. We’d settle for that.
Just stopping by to say hi. Hope you and all the residents of Castle Sidewalker are flourishing and you’re too busy to blog.
