‘Ground Control to Major Sidewalker…’

by Luke Sidewalker on November 23, 2009

Spaceman_sidewalkerI seem to have uncovered the brutal truth that Luke Sidewalker is not immune to the forces of gravity.  During the summer it seemed that my star was rising. I had a story published in the Jersey Journal about me written by Troy Dreier. I had written a series of articles for FiLife about my experiences finding money on the sidewalk, and they had sent me to do a special on the tennis at the US Open. I had also been approached to appear on Dr. Blogstein’s web radio show, and more recently I was attempting to get a part in the upcoming sequel to the 1980′s hit movie Wall Street.

Let’s take a step back and see how things stand today. Well I have not attracted anymore attention from the professional journalists, I have no press interviews scheduled. I really enjoyed writing the articles for FiLife but they have taken their website in a different direction. Instead of being an article based outlet they are going to focus on a Q & A format, which means they no longer require any more of my drivel! The radio show was all hot and heavy for my appearance during the slow news days of Summer, but their courtship has waned with the colder temperatures and shorter days,  like any true Summer romance it did not stand the test of Fall. And as for the movie role, well lets just say Oliver Stone has not been returning my calls!

So what do I need to do to arrest my fall from the heavens? It sounds like I need an agent.

What am I going to do about my fading star? Absolutely nothing. I’m going to get back to parenting Sidewalker Jr. and Little Miss Sidewalker whilst finding the occasional coin on the ground…

That is the spirit. Don’t change for anybody and keep plugging away fighting the good fight.

The Force ebbs and flows like the tides. If the course you have set sail on feels like the right one to you, stay on it even if it means fighting against the currents of the Force for the time being.

For inspiration, I recommend Pearl Jam’s song Unthought Known which can be heard here: Pearl Jam “Unthought Known” ♫ http://twt.fm/341238

Ahhh, don’t fret Luke your star is far from fading. Its the obstacles we climb that help us appreciate the top of the ladder… and when you get to the top, don’t forget we little folk at the bottom : )

Well, parenting is the best gig around anyhow! This post made me giggle, but not at your expense. You just wrote it in a cute way! (manly cute)

It’s ok. Don’t fret. Silver will one day be $100 an ounce, or even Ted Butler thinks it will EQUAL gold at $1,165 an ounce. Then we will be real rich!!!

Ted Butler’s new weekly article explores the new subject of the “raptors”…

Also, Jason Hommel will pray for you… and baby Jude.

The pic of the astronaut pulled me in. The article was good too! I’d say you’re doing just fine as Filife’s changes should only improve your market share. Btw- found a buffalo nickle today on 4th street. Does that count for more than 5 cents? It should.
